Position Summary: A service centric role where you will be expected to apply commercial insurance knowledge and analytical skills to support
agents and colleagues in administering insurance quotes, policies, and post bind policy activities.
What can you expect?
Reviews, analyzes, and services new and existing commercial insurance business
Utilizes appropriate software to engage with and assist agents with policy-related information
In the first 30 days, participate in a required robust training program of classroom, on the job, and computer-based training
Work an 8-hour shift between our hours of operation 8am - 9pm EST Monday- Friday
In this role you can expect to service our clients and colleagues primarily via phone and chat. You must be comfortable conversing and working in a phone-based position while providing top tier customer service
You will be joining a team of highly motivated and knowledgeable individuals ranging from Sr. Underwriters to Jr. Underwriters

We will count on you to:
Demonstrate strong insurance knowledge and provide the highest standards of customer service to agents; respond by phone support, online chat, and emails
Assist Sr. Underwriters with new submissions to ensure new policies are correct, per guidelines
Process endorsements, cancellations, reinstatements, and complete policy issuance
Meet required production KPIs as defined by leadership
De-escalate difficult customers and bring situations to complete resolution
Demonstrate a clear understanding of time management techniques by working independently with moderate supervision and as a participating and contributing member of a team
Actively and consistently participate in and contribute to group activities to include daily huddles, team meetings, and training opportunities
Communicate in a concise, tactful, prompt and effective manner over the phone, via chat, and by email
Build and maintain a positive working relationship with agents, customers, coworkers and others
What you need to have:
1+ year of customer service experience, call center preferred
Strong organizational, time management skills along with ability to work in a team environment
Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with clients and team members
Excellent written and verbal communication
Basic to intermediate technical knowledge of systems and procedures
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
What makes you stand out:
Property & Casualty Insurance experience/underwriting experience preferred
Exposure to underwriting methodologies along with experience working with commercial property insurance procedures and policies a plus
Existing Property & Casualty license
AINS or CPCU certification
Strong interpersonal skills
