The Broward County Board of County Commissioners is seeking qualified candidates for Communications System Technician.
General Description
Performs skilled technical work in the configuration, installation, and maintenance of new and existing public safety and/or local government two-way radio communications systems, and other government related radio frequency (RF) networks. Works under general supervision, independently developing work methods and sequences.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Requires two (2) years of higher-level education from an accredited trade, technical or vocational school, college or university with major coursework in electrical or computer engineering, RF theory, and working experience with public safety two-way radio communications networks and systems.
(One year of relevant experience may be substituted for each year of required education) Special Certifications and Licenses
