Las Vegas Petroleum is a growing operator of gas stations, convenience stores, and travel centers across the country. As we continue to expand, we are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to support our payroll operations and ensure accurate, timely payment to our employees.

We are seeking an Entry-Level Payroll Specialist with 2-3 years of payroll experience to join our accounting team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in processing payroll across multiple divisions and facilities, primarily using Paychex . This position requires strong attention to detail, familiarity with payroll procedures, and the ability to handle payroll tasks accurately in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Payroll Processing: Assist in processing payroll for multiple locations, ensuring timely and accurate payroll distribution.
• Data Entry: Enter payroll data into Paychex , verifying information for accuracy and resolving discrepancies as needed.
• Employee Inquiries: Address payroll-related questions and issues from employees in a professional and timely manner.
• Documentation: Maintain organized payroll records and support documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
• Compliance: Ensure payroll procedures are compliant with federal and state labor laws and company policies.
• Reporting: Assist with generating payroll reports for management review and internal analysis.
• Process Improvement: Collaborate with the payroll team to identify and implement improvements to payroll processes.

Requirements

• Experience: 2-3 years of payroll experience, preferably with Paychex .
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with payroll software (Paychex experience required) and familiarity with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and impecable attention to detail in all payroll tasks.
• Communication Skills: Effective written and verbal communication skills to address employee inquiries and coordinate with other departments.
• Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills to manage and maintain payroll records efficiently.
• Teamwork: Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
