As a CPA Associate, you will play a pivotal role in preparing tax returns for Individuals, Corporations, S-Corporations, and Partnerships. You will work daily with partners and gain broad exposure to various accounting and financial planning activities.
The CPA Associate will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of accounting and tax information, recording and verifying transactions, and preparing financial reports. You will also develop and maintain general ledgers, prepare trial balances, and ensure compliance with federal and state tax laws.
Tax Preparation : Prepare tax returns for Individuals, Corporations, S-Corporations, and Partnerships.
Financial Analysis : Analyze complex financial and tax reports and records.
General Ledger Maintenance : Maintain general ledger, prepare trial balance, and reconcile entries.
Journal Entries : Make journal entries for financial transactions.
Financial Reporting : Summarize and prepare financial reports, including balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
Compliance : Prepare corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns in compliance with federal and state government tax laws.
Software Proficiency : Knowledgeable and comfortable using tools such as QuickBooks and other accounting software.
Deadline Management : Ability to meet a constant stream of deadlines.
Education : Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience : Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and tax preparation.
Technical Skills : Strong knowledge in accounting practices, tax laws, and financial reporting.
Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Problem-Solving : Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment.
Software Proficiency : Experience with QuickBooks and other accounting software.
