Position Title: Remote Certified Medical Coder and Biller
Location: Dallas, TX (Remote)
Pay Rate: $23.50 per hour (Temp-to-Hire)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Are you a detail-oriented Certified Medical Coder and Biller looking for a remote opportunity with a strong team? We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team and help ensure the accuracy of patient claims while maintaining compliance with medical coding regulations. This is a fully remote, temp-to-hire role with competitive pay and the chance to make a meaningful impact in healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:
Review patient claims for accuracy, completeness, and missing information, ensuring smooth payer processing.
Accurately assign and sequence medical codes according to government and insurance regulations.
Ensure compliance with all medical coding guidelines and policies.
Verify and review patients' charts and medical documents for accuracy.
Collaborate with other team members to clarify any unclear information.
Gather data from physicians to prepare monthly reports.
Implement effective coding strategies to ensure accurate claim submission.
Analyze medical malpractice claims by examining related procedures and diagnoses.
Qualifications:
Education: Associate degree in business, finance, health administration, or a related field (preferred).
Experience: 2+ years in a primary care clinic setting (preferred).
Certification: Certified Medical Coder with certification from AAPC or AHIMA (e.g., CPC, CRC, CCS, or CCS-P).
Technical Skills: Expertise in ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, CPT, Category II, and/or E/M coding.
Software Proficiency: Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as eCW, EPIC, etc., and proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
